Dean's Scottish Shortbreads Dean's of Huntly in North East Scotland began manufacturing their Hand Baked shortbread in 1975. Mrs. Helen Dean began baking shortbread to raise funds for the Huntly Pipe Band and soon demand for her products spread further afield. She was then prompted to set up her own small bakery in the town to make and sell her unique home-style shortbread
IRN-BRU
(pronounced Iron
Brew) was first produced in 1901 and become Scotland's "National Fizzy,"
and has gained a worldwide popularity. It has a mild, citrus vanilla
flavor and is made with real cane sugar, not icky sweet corn syrup
fructose. It is lightly carbonated. The manufacturer, A.G.Barr plc
of Scotland, formulated Irn-Bru for the US market to comply with FDA
requirements for permissible ingredients and US food labeling. Irn-Bru
is imported and supplied by Great Scot International. Now in DIET
(sugar-free) as well as regular IRN-BRU.
